The Alex J. Walker, David Newham and Tom Winter Home Movie Collections. A programme of 16mm films made by Alex J Walker. We start in the winter of 1961/62 with scenes of the whole line. Linda is on loan and is seen on a test train. Merddyn Emrys, Earl of Merioneth and Prince are also in action. Next a visit in the winter of 1963 shows track work and the inauguration of the Snapper Bar. Centenary of Steam 1963 follows and then in 1965 the Centenary of passenger travel beginning with scenes of the Oakley Quarry. The Alco is delivered to the line in 1967 and we finish the Walker Archive with a trip from TYB to Ddaullt to work on the Deviation. 66 minutes. This is followed with 8mm film by David Newham taken in 1961 and by Tom Winter between 1960 and 1967. 20 minutes.
